Drake Saxon Dudley

A story about Drake Saxon Dudley, they call him “Ultimate”.  Drake has been competing since the age of 7 ½ years.  He has competed in Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Pankration, and Golf.  He is an A student in Flower Mound, TX.  His conduct has also been excellent in school.  He trains under Allen Mohler, Black belt (Alliance) and his dad, coach – Kirk Dudley.  A film and DVD was sent to Rickson Gracie last year.  Rickson called said that he had watched the film and he recognized Drake as a rare talent for his years.  Drake fights under Rickson Gracie organization

In Boxing, Drake competed for 2 years on a competitive level, where he won Dallas Golden Gloves and he is a 2 time National Black Gloves Novice and Open Class Champion.  His official record is 12-1 in Boxing.  His loss was by decision.  He also has trained in Thai Boxing off and on since he was 7 years old.  He won the California Pankration State Championship in 2004 stopping (3) opponents.  He is 3-0 in Pankration.  (Tapping Dillon Crouch with an arm bar in the finals).

Drake is starting his 4th year in Wrestling.  His 1st year in Texas he took Rookie and Novice titles plus 3rd in Open class in 2004-2005 season took Texas Open Class State Title.  He took 5th at the prestigious Tulsa Nationals, the largest Wrestling event for the children in the U.S.  Drake’s quick success in Wrestling can be attributed to his early years in Jiu Jitsu, great coaches and great wrestling partners.  National level kids like Joey Vooglesburg and Oliver Pierce.  Last year Drake beat Oklahoma State Champion Levi Berry twice in Oklahoma!  His 3 years in Wrestling has given him a 99-20 record.  He has been pinned only 3 times.  For a kid who has a dangerous guard to be so hard to put on his back in Wrestling kind of puts to rest some of the fears from Jiu Jitsu people and vice versa that you can’t do both well.  (Remember how quick children learn languages.)

For three years or so, he has traveled to the East and West Coast up the Midwest and Brazil twice.  Fought in Rated and Ranked events and smaller promotions.  He has beaten the best from the Best children’s teams such as Odyssey, Amal Easton, Lloyd Irvin’s, Combat Do, Tiger Schulman’s, TSK, ATT, Cobra Kai, United BJJ.

His record in Jiu Jitsu is 160-8.  He has beaten many of your most recognizable children competitors out there.  Giving up 2 years of age he beat Marco Gomes twice in one day.  Giving up 2 years of age, he beat Gianni Grippo on takedowns.  Gianni tapped Drake 2 years later in Florida to avenge this loss.  Drake has had 3 matches vs. Cory Walker (Loyd Irvins).    In those matches he has scored 36-0 on points and tapped him twice against Odyssey’s Collin Taylor, Drake won 19-0.  He recently beat Cobra Kai’s dangerous, Sylver Quemado by arm bar. (Giving up two years also).  He once scored 55 points in a 4 minute match.  (I have all on film)

He has been tapped only twice in competition.  Once by a 14 year old, Drake was 10 at the time, the other by Gianni Grippo. (2 years older and 18 lbs heavier).  In all of his Jiu Jitsu tournaments he’s only had his guard passed once!  (This was by the 4 time National Brazil Champion, Bruno Rafael in 2002).  He has never been mounted in competition.

Judging by the places Drake has been and by the competition he’s won against, you could certainly say Drake accomplished things very few have.  His combined record for Boxing, Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu is 274-29.
